Job Overview
Job Summary
BW Interiors is seeking a Senior Joinery Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for joinery projects. The role requires strong experience in joinery estimating, material pricing, take-offs, tendering, and cost management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the UAE, and will report to the Head of Estimations or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of works.
- Prepare detailed joinery take-offs and cost estimates.
- Price materials including timber, MDF, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, and specialist items.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Calculate labour, fabrication, installation, wastage, and other project costs.
- Prepare clear and accurate tender submissions.
- Identify exclusions, qualifications, assumptions, and potential risks.
- Liaise with suppliers, production, design, and project teams to clarify requirements.
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Assist with value engineering and cost-saving proposals.
- Maintain estimating records and pricing databases.
- Support the commercial team during tender negotiations and handover of successful projects to operations.

Mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of experience in joinery estimating, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and joinery drawings.
- Strong understanding of quantities, rates, and project costs.
- Good knowledge of Excel and estimating software.
Preferred
- Strong supplier and subcontractor network is an advantage.
