Job Summary

AlQaisar Chartered Accountants, a UAE firm providing auditing, accounting, CFO services and tax consultancy to SMEs since 2020, is recruiting for four full-time finance positions: General Accountant, Accounts Payable Accountant, Junior Treasury Accountant and Senior Treasury Accountant. Experience requirements range from 1 to 8 years depending on the role, with UAE trading, distribution or trade finance exposure preferred. Salaries will be discussed during the interview.

Open Positions

General AccountantPost journal entries, accruals, prepayments and provisions, perform month-end and year-end closing, reconcile balance sheet accounts including GL, intercompany and suspense accounts, maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules, prepare monthly VAT return workings and support Corporate Tax records, record and reconcile intercompany transactions, prepare trial balance, P&L and balance sheet schedules, support inventory valuation and cost reconciliations with the warehouse, and prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3 to 5 years in general accounting preferably in a UAE trading company, and ACCA or CMA part-qualified is a plus.
Accounts Payable AccountantVerify and post supplier invoices in SAP, prepare weekly and monthly payment proposals after approval, reconcile vendor statements and clear open items, record import costs including freight, customs duty and clearing charges against the correct BOE and PO, ensure correct UAE VAT treatment on purchase invoices including reverse charge on imports, maintain vendor master data with proper supporting documents, follow up on supplier credit notes, debit notes and price differences, prepare AP aging and month-end accruals for unbilled purchases, and support auditors with AP schedules and supporting documents. Requires 2 to 4 years of Accounts Payable experience preferably in a UAE trading or distribution company, hands-on SAP FI-AP or MM experience, good knowledge of UAE VAT, and good Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
Junior Treasury AccountantUpload and post daily bank statements, prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts, prepare payment and fund transfer requests for approval, maintain LC, TR loan and guarantee trackers with maturity dates, collect and organize documents for bank KYC requirements, manage petty cash replenishments and ensure accurate recording, and prepare daily bank balance reports for the Senior Treasury Accountant. Requires 1 to 3 years of experience in treasury, banking operations or accounts, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, basic understanding of trade finance, good Excel skills, and an organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven approach.
Senior Treasury AccountantPrepare daily cash position and cash flow reports, manage bank facilities including LC, TR loans, overdrafts and guarantees and monitor utilization and limits, process Import LCs, documentary collections and TR loan settlements with banks, compare bank pricing, terms and tariffs to ensure competitive banking arrangements, handle bank KYC, compliance requests and account opening or renewal documentation, prepare bank reconciliations, plan fund transfers between entities and ensure payments are released within approval limits, monitor FX exposure and obtain competitive rates from banks, prepare monthly treasury KPI reports including facility usage, finance costs and cash balances, and supervise and train the Junior Treasury Accountant. Requires 6 to 8 years of experience in treasury or banking with UAE trade finance exposure, a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, CMA, CTP or ACCA qualification preferred, strong cash management knowledge, strong trade finance expertise including LC, TR and documentary collections, and advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate for these AlQaisar Chartered Accountants finance vacancies in the UAE must meet the following criteria:

General Eligibility

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Relevant UAE or GCC accounting and finance experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records
  • Good communication skills with suppliers, banks and internal teams
  • Good Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Role-Specific Mandatory Requirements

  • General Accountant: 3 to 5 years in general accounting, preferably in a UAE trading company; ACCA or CMA part-qualified is a plus
  • Accounts Payable Accountant: 2 to 4 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a UAE trading or distribution company; hands-on SAP FI-AP or MM experience; good knowledge of UAE VAT
  • Junior Treasury Accountant: 1 to 3 years of experience in treasury, banking operations or accounts; basic understanding of trade finance
  • Senior Treasury Accountant: 6 to 8 years of experience in treasury or banking with UAE trade finance exposure; strong trade finance expertise including LC, TR and documentary collections; advanced Excel and financial modelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACCA or CMA part-qualified or fully qualified for accounting roles
  • CMA, CTP or ACCA qualification for the Senior Treasury Accountant role
