Job Summary
SIDCO Foods, a leading food manufacturer, importer and distributor in the UAE serving retail, wholesale, HORECA, food-service and export customers, is hiring an experienced and commercially driven Category Manager for its Marketing team. The role involves managing assigned product categories, developing category strategies, driving sales growth, monitoring market trends, managing pricing and promotions, and ensuring the right product mix and availability. Candidates need a minimum of 5 years of relevant Category Management experience within the Food or FMCG Industry, with Food Industry experience mandatory and UAE or GCC market experience preferred, along with strong analytical and commercial skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to achieve sales, growth and profitability targets
- Manage the assigned food product portfolio, including product range, pricing, promotions and positioning
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities and pricing
- Identify new business opportunities, customers, sales channels and potential markets
- Work closely with the Sales Team to drive category sales and improve market penetration
- Monitor product demand and coordinate with Factory, Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure product availability
- Forecast demand and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Monitor slow-moving and near-expiry products and support corrective sales and promotional activities
- Coordinate with the Factory on product quality, production requirements, new product development and packaging improvements
- Conduct market and competitor price surveys and provide regular insights to management
- Prepare monthly category performance, sales, inventory and market intelligence reports
- Develop product presentations, sales pitches and supporting materials for the Sales Team and customers
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Factory and Logistics to achieve category objectives

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Category Management within the Food or FMCG Industry
- Food Industry experience is mandatory
- Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Willingness to conduct customer and market visits when required

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Commerce, Food Technology or a related field
