Job Summary
BAM Advisors is hiring a skilled Senior Accountant in Abu Dhabi to support its mission of delivering outstanding client service. The role's primary challenge is to ensure a dedicated portfolio of clients maintains impeccable accounting records while adhering to all VAT and Corporate Tax regulations in the UAE.
A successful first year in this role will see the Senior Accountant seamlessly managing their client portfolio, delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and ensuring full tax compliance across all assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end accounting cycle for a dedicated portfolio of clients, from bookkeeping through to preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing procedures for every client in the assigned portfolio.
- Maintain the integrity of financial records by managing all balance sheet accounts, reconciliations and internal controls.
- Manage the preparation and submission of VAT and Corporate Tax returns, ensuring full compliance for all assigned clients.
Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within an accounting firm in the United Arab Emirates.
- Strong proficiency in full-cycle bookkeeping, financial closing and reporting.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in tax compliance, specifically with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA or CAT are highly regarded.
