Job Overview
Job Summary
Niagra International Wood Industry LLC is hiring an experienced Estimator to join its interior fit-out and joinery team in the UAE. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimations, BOQs and material take-offs for joinery and interior projects across the company's portfolio.
The successful candidate will work closely with production, project and design teams, interpreting AutoCAD drawings and turning them into competitive quotations and project costings within tight delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimation and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for joinery and interior fit-out projects.
- Read, interpret and work from AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings and architectural details.
- Perform accurate material take-off for MDF, plywood, veneer, hardware, edge banding and other joinery materials.
- Prepare professional quotations, project costings and pricing comparisons for client submissions.
- Coordinate closely with the production and project teams to validate assumptions, lead times and feasibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Estimator vacancy in Sharjah / Dubai must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory Requirements
- Hands-on experience in Interior Fit-out, Joinery or the Wood Industry.
- Strong working knowledge of costing, estimation methodology and BOQ preparation.
- Good practical knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for take-offs and cost sheets.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet tight tender and quotation deadlines.
Preferred
- UAE-based experience working with consultants, main contractors or fit-out clients.
- Exposure to Fire-rated doors and high-end joinery projects in hospitality, commercial or residential sectors.
- Familiarity with local UAE material suppliers and current market rates.
General Eligibility
- Diploma or Degree in Civil, Architecture, Interior Design or a related field preferred.
- Currently based in the UAE and available to attend interviews in Sharjah or Dubai.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
