Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will maintain accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of accounting information across multiple entities within the group. The role includes day-to-day accounting, intercompany reconciliations, financial reporting, VAT and statutory returns, audit support and group consolidation.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accounting transactions for assigned entities.
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and trial balances.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues.
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
- Ensure accurate elimination entries during consolidation and coordinate with other entities for alignment.
- Issue invoices for intercompany cross-charges.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Support group-level consolidation and reporting.
- Prepare and file VAT and statutory returns while ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Support audits by providing required documentation.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP and accounting systems and identify process improvements or automation opportunities.
- Liaise with banks, auditors and stakeholders while supporting month-end closing and ad-hoc financial analysis.
