Job Summary
FAAN Perfumes is looking for a sharp and proactive IT Technician to manage and optimise digital infrastructure in a manufacturing environment. The role supports office and production floor technology, server room operations, network connectivity, cybersecurity, ERP environments and rapid troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi systems to ensure 24/7 connectivity.
- Execute routine software updates, patches and hardware upgrades across all departments.
- Conduct regular security checks, manage firewalls and ensure data backup protocols are followed.
- Provide rapid-response troubleshooting for hardware including PCs, printers and scanners.
- Resolve software issues for office users and production floor teams.
- Support IT-dependent manufacturing tools and shop floor technology systems.
- Ensure seamless communication between production floor systems and back-office infrastructure.
- Maintain workstations, peripherals, network racks and server-related systems.
