Job Overview
Job Summary
Niru Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to ensure strict compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations and HACCP standards across our ambient food distribution operations. The successful candidate will also provide office support to optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety requirements and DM Food Watch standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits of HACCP systems and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) documentation.
- Perform inspections of warehouse facilities, storage conditions, temperature control, and hygiene protocols.
- Maintain and update all food safety and HACCP documentation.
- Coordinate responses to Dubai Municipality inspections and prepare corrective action plans.
- Track and verify supplier compliance and product certification documentation.
- Conduct staff training on food safety protocols and HACCP procedures.
- Investigate and document any food safety incidents or non-compliance issues.
- Manage and organize compliance files, records, and documentation systems.
- Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Quality Control Officer vacancy in Dubai must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of food safety and quality control experience in a food distribution or warehousing environment.
- Proven experience with Dubai Municipality food safety standards and DM Food Watch requirements.
- Certified in HACCP and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
- In-depth knowledge of GMP and food safety protocols.
- Familiarity with FSMS documentation, risk assessments, and corrective action procedures.
- Experience preparing for and responding to food safety inspections.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE food regulations and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience in FMCG distribution or food trading in the UAE is highly valued.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
