Blue Ocean Star Cargo Services L.L.C is seeking an experienced Operation Supervisor with strong expertise in container shipping operations to join their team in Business Bay, Dubai. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in container shipping operations, strong knowledge of port processes (DP World), customs procedures, and shipping documentation. Experience with NVOCC/LINE is required. The role involves overseeing daily container operations, managing vessel schedules, coordinating with shipping lines and port authorities, and supervising operations staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily container operations (import/export, stuffing, de-stuffing, yard coordination)
- Manage vessel schedules, cut-offs, and port/terminal coordination
- Ensure accurate documentation: BLs, manifests, DOs, pre-alerts, customs files
- Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, agents, and port authorities
- Monitor container movements, detention/demurrage, and equipment control
- Handle operational escalations and ensure smooth cargo flow
- Supervise operations staff and ensure compliance with UAE port regulations
