Job Overview
Job Summary
TAMAS Group is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant with proven experience in contracting companies to join their team in the UAE. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the contracting/construction industry and is currently located within the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading infrastructure utility company with a legacy since 1978.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the complete accounting and finance function
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Coordinate with auditors and support audit activities
- Provide strategic financial guidance to management
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Chief Accountant vacancy must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory
- Proven experience in contracting companies is required
- Locally available within the UAE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Eligibility
- Contracting/Construction industry experience is required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) is an advantage
