Job Overview
Job Summary
Setinone is hiring an Accountant with expertise in furniture, e-commerce, and inventory management. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in e-commerce, furniture retail, or marketplace businesses. Strong proficiency in Odoo ERP and QuickBooks is required. This role involves managing financial transactions, inventory accounting, e-commerce reconciliation, VAT compliance, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments
- Handle Accounts Payable and Receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, and payment cycles
- Manage inventory accounting, including stock valuation, COGS, adjustments, and reconciliations
- Reconcile physical warehouse stock with ERP records and investigate stock discrepancies
- Coordinate stock counts, transfers, returns, damages, write-offs, and other inventory movements
- Reconcile e-commerce and marketplace transactions, including orders, refunds, commissions, payment gateways, and vendor settlements
- Support monthly closing, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and trial balance reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and support accurate VAT reporting and filing
- Prepare financial and inventory reports, including stock ageing, variances, margins, and product profitability
- Maintain accurate financial and inventory records using Odoo ERP and QuickBooks and support financial/inventory audits
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Accountant vacancy must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Preferably in e-commerce, furniture retail, or marketplace businesses
- Strong proficiency in Odoo ERP and QuickBooks
Eligibility
- In-depth knowledge of cash flow management, AP/AR cycles, and VAT compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
