Job Summary
M.H. Al Muftah Trading & Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and lead our finance function within the car rental/automotive industry. The successful candidate will lead day-to-day accounting operations, oversee month-end and year-end closing, ensure compliance with IFRS and Qatar VAT regulations, and mentor the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing, budgeting, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Qatar VAT regulations.
- Manage fixed assets, fleet-related financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Mentor the accounting team and work closely with auditors and key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory Requirements
- 10-15 years of accounting experience, including 8+ years in a senior role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong IFRS and ERP knowledge
- Expertise in Qatar VAT regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage
- Experience in the car rental, automotive, leasing, or transportation industry
- Locally available Arabic nationals or Arabic-speaking candidates with strong Qatar/GCC experience
