Job Overview
Job Summary
Emirates Industrial Panel is looking for a Cost Control & Planning Engineer who will be responsible to ensure project completion within the approved budget by minimizing cost deviations. The successful candidate will lead project cost control, budgeting, planning, development, monitoring, and forecasting across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide planning and cost-control support across all projects, including variation reporting, milestone monitoring, and customer billing preparation.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets.
- Control total project expenditure; verify invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Review cost estimates and recommend improvements for future budgets and procurement strategies.
- Manage project accounting databases to ensure accuracy, security, and timely updates.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Prepare monthly project forecasts based on ongoing activities and team inputs.
- Generate monthly cost reports to ensure expenditures remain within budget.
- Support accounts receivable during billing cycles; monitor billing status and resolve unbilled items.
- Safeguard company interests when dealing with external parties.

Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project cost control and planning
- Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera (preferred)
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing or construction industry
- Knowledge of ERP systems and project management software
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
