Job Summary
FMC Network UAE is seeking a Medical Coder / Claims Audit professional who is highly proficient in computer software and Microsoft applications, holds an AAPC or AHIMA license/certification, and has wide knowledge of HAAD, DHA and IA guidelines, rules and standards. The role ensures claims audit and recovery processes comply with regulatory requirements, leads provider audit teams, prepares audit findings reports and coordinates with claims, network and finance teams on recovery and collection. The ideal candidate is a healthcare graduate with 3–5 years of medical coding or pre-approval experience in a TPA or insurance setting. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the claims audit and recovery process comply with PD 01/2019 and HAAD/SD/HSFR/0.9, adhering to circular timelines.
- Lead the provider audit team, conduct onsite and offsite audits, and prepare audit findings reports.
- Handle provider communications, documentation and closure actions as per authority requirements.
- Maintain provider audit and reconciliation communication documentation as required by the authority.
- Coordinate with Claims, Network and Finance teams for recovery payment communications and collection.
- Identify discrepancies, quality of care and billing issues, and recommend plans of action to correct and prevent future coding errors.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Medical Coder / Claims Audit vacancy in Dubai must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory
- Graduate in Nursing, MBBS, BAMS or BHMS, plus a license/certification in AAPC or AHIMA.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in medical coding or a pre-approval department in healthcare (TPA or insurance).
- High proficiency in computer software and Microsoft applications.
- Adequate knowledge of regulatory guidelines and HAAD, DHA and IA rules and standards.
Preferred
- Knowledge of DRG guidelines.
- Knowledge and practical experience in provider audit will be an added advantage.
- Immediate joining and a UAE driving licence.
