We have a vacancy for a Cost Engineer in our Dubai office.
Job Purpose and Job Responsibilities: Cost engineer is responsible to analyse data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product and to provide cost effective solutions by value engineering and cost optimization.

- Derive the actual production cost of the job order.
- Compare the actual costs with the estimated costs of the job orders.
- Analyze the root cause of the cost variances.
- Address cost variance reasons with Operations and Finance to take informed decisions whether to: - Take preventive action(s) - Update ERP costing functionality - Accept the variance.
- Recommend initiatives and cost-effective solutions in order to improve the accuracy of cost estimates.
- Produce profitability reports along various dimensions (by order, by finish, by customer, by industry, by region, etc.)
- Producing profit and loss statements based on Contribution margins.
- Reconcile Absorption based statements with Contribution-based statements.
- Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress.
- Maintaining and updating project contracts agreements.
- Review BOQ budget, specifications, and drawings for any new awarded tender to produce procurement list.
- Assist the Project Team in sourcing Suppliers/Subcontractors for procuring materials and plant (project specific or otherwise) to the correct quality and within the budget allocated and time frame.
- Managing project services using Oracle software (JD Enterprise One).
- Monitoring progress activities of the projects covering technical and non-technical materials.
- Monitors progress of the project in collaboration with the Project Manager and Project Engineer; this normally covers progress of work, manpower usage and cost, material usage and cost.
- Support in operational planning for deploying required manpower for the execution of jobs. Provide details on the project scope, timelines, and all relevant details.
- Gather proposals, specifications, and related documents and liase with stake holders in order to convert specifications to cost estimate for new and current products.
- Estimate the cost of effectiveness of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendationsfor improvement.

Qualification
- Graduate — Finance , Business , Commercial, Manufacturing or Engineering Degree
Experience
- Preferably 5 years — 8 years Preferable Industry knowledge: Aluminum extrusion orsurface treatment
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
IT systems to be used:
Intensive use of the Manufacturing Execution System, as well as the use of the SAP S4Hana Production, Sales, Quality, Logistics andFinance modules.
Ideal background:
CMA designation (Certified Managerial Accountant) or equivalent, with experience in Manufacturing environments
- Good Communication Skills
- Good Interpersonal & negotiation
- skillsCommercial and Financial awareness Strong Analytical skills
- Strong Technical mindset
- Knowledge of estimation techniques
- Ability to research, assemble, manage and manipulate numerical information Result oriented.
