The Fleet Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles.

The Fleet Operations Manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations and make the ultimate decision whether a vehicle is safe to have on the road.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet and ensure that it’s maximized obtaining a high utilization in profitable manner
• Create and establish fleet policies and procedures
• Control maintenance cost and expenses
• Prepare reports for higher management
• Monitor vehicle registration and renewals
• Conduct vehicles inventory regularly
• Coordinate & negotiate with suppliers to complete the repair
• Manage and ensure that drivers are given enough assignments on a daily basis that ensures 100% utilization
• Organize vehicle delivery and collection with subordinates 
• Prepare the documents to obtain security passes as needed by the client (LOA, CICPA and other necessary certificates); Monitor CICPA requirements and its renewal
• Responsible in deciding whether a vehicle should be assigned to better meet the needs of EPIC, or should be purchased, or disposed of
• Develop and administer vehicle/equipment asset management processes where the role is involved in procurement to disposition
• Establish and monitor purchasing, operational and replacement strategies and practices for most cost-effective operation
• Develop and implement training modules for vehicles and equipment use and care
• Ensure compliance with all UAE laws and regulations related to vehicle operations and equipment use and care
• Responsible for all aspects of operation for a full-fledged vehicle maintenance facility and available repair shop in each Emirate
• Coordinate/cooperate with Vehicles sale departments for maximizing the fleet sale

Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of LOA, CICPA and other approvals required in oil field operations
• Understand and track total cost of vehicle ownership
• Resourceful and experienced in the tender exercise
• Fluent in English (oral & written) with excellent report writing skills
• Ability to work as part of a highly motivated team
• Proactive with a high sense of initiative and can work independently
• Excellent computer skills and computer literacy (MS Office, Excel)
• Possess effective negotiation, organizational and communication skills
• Possess teamwork and leadership qualities
• Systematic with ability to initiate improvement on the established

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree
• UAE Valid driver’s license required
• 5+ years’ experience in car rental
