Job Overview
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our HVAC and Plumbing department. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of Gulf experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage departmental workloads, establish QA/QC standards, and ensure the successful execution of complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish standards of operation and practices for the entire department, including calculations, design methodology, CAD practices, and master specifications.
- Meet deadlines for the department and the firm as a whole.
- Review all department documents and deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Provide leadership within the department and with other department heads and senior management.
- Manage the workload and time management of all department staff.
- Manage staff and participate in performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintain QA/QC, establish benchmarks, and performance appraisals.
- Stay current in all aspects of consulting engineering, including design, codes, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Generate, develop, and ensure department profitability and accountability.
- Grow the department in size and recognition in the industry consistent with company goals.
