Job Summary
Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co., one of the largest and most successful business groups in Qatar established in the late 1950s, is hiring a QA/QC Engineer for Interior Fit-Out and FF&E in Qatar. The role ensures that fit-out works and FFE supplies meet the approved drawings, specifications, client requirements and applicable Qatari standards, planning and controlling quality from material approval through installation to handover. The goal is to get work approved the first time, reduce rework and deliver projects with minimal snags. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Interior Design, 5 to 7 years of QA/QC experience in interior fit-out with at least 3+ years in Qatar or the GCC, hands-on experience with ITPs, WIR and MIR processes, NCRs, snagging and handover documentation, good knowledge of fit-out materials, joinery and FFE installation, familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications, a valid Qatar driving license, and a transferable visa.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Planning Documentation: prepare and maintain quality plans, ITPs and inspection documentation for fit-out projects
- Material FFE Quality Control: review and approve material submittals, samples and FFE specifications against approved drawings and standards
- Site Inspection Control: conduct regular site inspections and raise WIR and MIR documentation as required
- Subcontractor Supplier Quality: monitor and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quality performance on site
- Testing, Snagging Handover: manage testing, snagging and handover documentation to ensure minimal defects
- Quality Management System: implement and maintain the QMS in line with ISO 9001 requirements
- Issue and follow up on NCRs and corrective actions to close non-conformances effectively
- Coordinate with consultants, project teams and MEP interfaces to ensure quality and consistency across works
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this QA/QC Engineer vacancy in Qatar must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Interior Design (a relevant engineering diploma with strong experience may be considered)
- 5 to 7 years of QA/QC experience in interior fit-out, with at least 3+ years in Qatar or the GCC
- Hands-on experience with ITPs, WIR and MIR processes, NCRs, snagging and handover documentation on commercial fit-out projects such as office, hospitality, retail or similar
- Good knowledge of fit-out materials and finishes, joinery, FFE installation and their interfaces with MEP work
- Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and consultant inspection procedures in Qatar
- Ability to read shop drawings with working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
- Valid Qatar driving license and transferable visa
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001 internal auditor or lead auditor certification is a plus
- Prior experience with luxury retail, hospitality or commercial fit-out projects in Qatar
- Knowledge of QCS standards and consultant approval workflows
- Strong documentation and reporting skills for snagging and handover
