Job Summary
Mr. Eight Development is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting Team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of UAE accounting experience, with real estate development or brokerage experience highly preferred. Strong QuickBooks proficiency and knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily accounting transactions in QuickBooks.
- Prepare and issue official receipts for client payments.
- Ensure receipts are correctly recorded and allocated to the appropriate client and property/unit.
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Record property-related receipts, payments, and expenses.
- Monitor client/unit accounts and payment schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing and account schedules.
- Support external audit requirements.
- Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Finance Department.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Junior Accountant vacancy in Dubai must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy / Accounting.
- Minimum 1-2 years of UAE accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks experience.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
- Experience in bookkeeping, journal entries, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience in intercompany transactions and charges.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a UAE Real Estate Developer or Real Estate Brokerage is highly preferred.
- Fluency in Tagalog/Filipino is an advantage.
- Ability to join immediately or on short notice is preferred.
