Job Summary
Gulf Group Holding is looking for a Central Buyer for Fruits & Vegetables to join AlAswaq Alwatania LLC OPC in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in buying and negotiation within a large-scale hypermarket or supermarket. The role involves managing centralized purchasing of fresh fruits and vegetables, identifying and developing suppliers, monitoring market prices, and ensuring timely and consistent supply to all branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage centralized purchasing of fresh fruits and vegetables for all branches.
- Identify and develop reliable suppliers, wholesalers, and importers.
- Monitor daily market prices and ensure competitive purchasing.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Plan purchases based on branch requirements, sales trends, stock levels, and seasonality.
- Coordinate with branches, warehouse, logistics, and the commercial team.
- Develop seasonal sourcing strategies and alternative suppliers.
- Maintain proper purchase records, supplier comparisons, and price analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and food safety requirements.
