Job Summary
Hills & Fort Construction is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Estimation Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and tender submissions, reviewing drawings and BOQs, performing quantity take-offs, and supporting bid preparation for infrastructure projects including roads and utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted works.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, BIM models, and technical documents.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze project scope, risks, assumptions, and opportunities.
- Prepare technical and commercial bid proposals.
- Conduct rate analysis for standard and non-standard items.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project management teams.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical discussions when required.
- Maintain cost databases, estimation records, and historical pricing information.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, contractual requirements, and company standards.
- Prepare estimation reports, bid summaries, and management presentations.

Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in estimation, tendering, or quantity surveying
- Experience in infrastructure projects (roads and utilities)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
- Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
