Job Summary
Khalid Ali Al Kharafi & Bros. Co. is seeking a Senior Accountant in Kuwait City to manage the general ledger, lead month-end and year-end closing, and prepare financial statements and management reports. The ideal candidate has 5 to 8 years of accounting experience in the construction, engineering, or industrial sector, strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. Candidates must currently reside in Kuwait, with immediate joiners preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Review bank reconciliations, cash flow, and treasury transactions.
- Monitor budgets, cost control, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Report directly to the Chief Accountant and Finance Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Senior Accountant vacancy in Kuwait City must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of accounting experience in the construction, engineering, or industrial sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, and Data Analysis).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end / year-end closing.
- Experience in statutory and external audits.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
