Description
Positions:
- Utility Engineer
- Develop detailed designs for water networks, sewer systems, stormwater drainage, and road infrastructure, including pavements, curbs, and subgrade preparation
- Prepare drawings, technical specifications, and design calculations in accordance with local codes and standards
- Review and coordinate utility layouts and road alignments with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural)
- Supervise on-site civil works for utilities and roads, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to design
- Inspect excavation, backfilling, pipeline installation, manholes, culverts, road subgrade, base, and pavement layers
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues promptly
- Conduct inspections, testing, and prepare daily/weekly progress reports
- Liaise with government authorities, municipalities, and utility providers for approvals, permits, and inspections
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve interface issues between utilities and road works
- Oversee testing and commissioning of water pipelines, sewer networks, stormwater systems, and roadworks, including pressure tests, CCTV inspection, and compaction tests
- Ensure proper documentation of as-built drawings, inspection reports, and handover certificates
- Prepare technical reports, site inspection records, progress updates, and as-built documentation
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and method statements for civil utility and road works
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Experience in utility infrastructure, stormwater, sewer systems, and road works
- Knowledge of local standards, regulations, and construction codes
- Strong coordination, project management, and communication skills
