WKC are hiring a Senior Accountant to be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision making. The role will play a key part in month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement, while also providing guidance to senior management and administrative staff who are involved in accounting processes.

- Senior Accountant

As a successful candidate for the Latest Jobs in Dubai, your responsibilities may include:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;
- Manage general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations;
- Oversee project based accounting in collaboration with operational project managers, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and project profitability status;
- Oversee office based accounting in the Middle East in collaboration with office managers, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and office profitability status;
- Support the Finance team and Partners with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management;
- Ensure compliance to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies;
- Prepare data required for audits and collaborate with the Finance officer in addressing external auditors, tax advisors and regulators;
- Review and improve financial controls, processes and reporting systems;
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to senior leadership and project managers;
- Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes

Requirements
To qualify for the Latest Jobs in Dubai, applicants should meet the following requirements:
Candidate Requirements;
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience;
- Minimum of 1-2 year experience in a supervisory/senior role;
- Bachelor degree in accounting;
- Accounting Certification e.g. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant.
- Advanced software proficiency in MS Excel.
- UAE and KSA based regulatory knowledge;
- Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards;
Candidate Preferences:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience;
- Masters degree in accounting or finance;
- Experience with ERP Systems (e.g. Sage, Quickbooks, Oodo)
