Description
A vacancy has arisen for a Junior Accountant - General Accounting role to commence employment as soon as possible. The role will involve providing support to the Accounting Manager, General Accountant, Account Receivable and Accounts Payable with regards to all accounting procedures and data. The hours would be 7.15am until 3pm Monday to Thursday and 7.15am until 12pm on Fridays. The role benefits from 33 days annual leave and public holidays.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with proven experience of 2-5 years in Accounting and Financial reporting. The successful candidate will ideally be under spouse’s sponsorship however sponsorship could be arranged if required.
The main objective of the position of the Junior Accountant – General Accounting is to provide support to the Accounting Manager, General Accountant, Account Receivable and Accounts Payable with regards to all accounting procedures and data.

Responsibilities
As a successful candidate for the Latest Jobs in Abu Dhabi, your responsibilities may include:
- Assist the Accounts Receivable in billing, collections and reconciliations in busy periods
- Assist the Accounts Payable in processing purchase requisitions and orders, payments, and reconciliations in busy periods
- Assist the General Accountant in maintaining schedules for Prepayments, Accruals, Provisions and Advances and processing payments in busy periods
- Assist the General Accountant and the Cashier in reconciling bank and cash accounts as needed.
- Assist the Cashier in busy periods and cover when absent.
- Travel booking
- Documentation
- Performing any other task as requested by the Head of Finance and the Accounting Manager
Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience, Knowledge and Skill
- Good command of the English language with strong verbal and written skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Google packages
