- Financial Controller
Finance and Accounts Department - DXB
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

DAY TO DAY FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and coordinate the accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the setup.
- Preparation of relevant documentation and coordination with the members of the Board of Directors/empowered signatories
- Manage and comply with VAT and Direct taxes filing
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
BUDGETING AND FORECASTING:
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring, and controls.
- Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and working closely with the operations and project teams.
CLOSING AND REPORTING:
- Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
- Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, and cash-flow management reporting.
- Preparation of month-end reporting pack and Board pack for the communications to stake holders
TREASURY:
- Supporting the CFO in negotiations of treasury and banking transactions with banks, customers, and vendors
- Liaise with bankers for treasury related tasks such as issuance of letters of guarantees, letters of credits, review of the Facilities letters etc
- Initiate and approve banking transactions
EXTERNAL AUDIT
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Coordinate with external auditors, finance and operations team for the year end audit process
- Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Financial Manager/Controller
- 6+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in Accounting
- ACCA/CPA/ ICAI/ICAP preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (IFRS, IAS etc.), especially contract accounting/ percentage of completion method
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
- Working experience in Oracle/SAP is highly regarded.
